Default purems.com sells a boost gauge install kit. $10 or so

so does http://www.42draftdesigns.com/

the vacuum line is 5/32" in our cars, so you need to tap into that line, and run it to your boost gauge. some people run a smaller line from the tap to avoid buzzing, and/or use a buffered tap. the purems kit includes a smaller line. buffered tap is extra.

Default the vdo boost guage has a pipe fitting thread connection on it...

you need to convert that to a hose barb connection, then Tee that hose into a vac line off the manifold.

here are pics of wha the AWE VDO kit comes with:

Default Plastic T will especially become brittle when tied off to a hot coolant hose.

It's terrible to tie off a plastic T to something hot on the engine, agree? I used a plastic T for my setup, and it has lasted over 9 years,no brittleness..if that is a word. He should undo that and run it like most people do.

Default Not wise, just run the line going to the gauge under the manifold instead...

and let the T hang free, not attached to a hot coolant hose! That will fatique the plastic T in months.
