Default VVME 5000k's are well worth the extra $15 over 6000k.

The 5000k bulbs have metal bases, and are built much better. I had problems with my 6000k bulbs - the plastic base got too hot and warped, which messed up the beam.

The 5000k's are so much brighter than the 6000k's, it's amazing. Wish I just bought them the first time.

VVME's shipping is amazing too. They shipped the kit on Monday and I got it on Wednesday (from Beijing to NY!)

Default Metal base FTW. Always wondered how plastic stood up against the heat

Guess it didn't for you.

2nd for me too. I think 4300 are too yellow and 6000k are too blueish. so 5000k it is.

The 5000's even seem yellow, wish they had 5400k like you can get in real D2S

Default Yellow compared to 6000k I bet. 4300 is too close to halogen color for me

But yeah, a half like 5400k or 5500k, would be perfect.

Default IIRC, there was no 5000k option with VVME like there is now. Options were only:
