Default You don't want to do that...

I loved the all red lighting on my previous B5 A4, I currently have a Passat and I hate the boy racer lighting that it has, it also is very hard on your eyes at night.

Default I did the opposite.

Phil (qfrog) helped me get rid of the unsightly blue in favor of Audi Red....I'd never drive a VW again without that conversion being done to it.

Default this question again?

Right about the hard on the eyes part... however, the B7 has gone to blue. Idiots.

http://www.syz.com/rasc/lp/lightandtheeye.php
(link is dead now... has to do with rods and cones)

"For this reason, astronomers commonly use red flashlights during their nighttime work. The red is bright enough for the red-sensitive cones to register it. As long as it is not too bright, it will not affect dark-adaptation and will not impair the dark-adapted rods from seeing in almost total darkness once the flashlight is turned off."
