WANTED: Photo of the bottom control board inside the NDBW cruise control unit
I think I know how to fix a manufacturing defect in the cruise control unit, but I would like a photo of the inside of a working controller (close-up on the bottom beneath the 12-pin connector solder points) before I attempt to modify my own controller board and re-install hoping it is fixed.

Great link! But that unit is a little different
My controller has a brown plastic connector soldered and riveted into it. 4D0 907 305 is the part number I want to see inside of.
That controller also may not be the same model too (author doesnt give the part #!), the pins used in his tests dont seem to match the functions of the Audi A4/A6/A8 NDBW pins, but the design on that one is definitely improved from what I have and doesn't have the defect area that I see on mine.

Need to see a photo of the back side, close-up on the front

Your unit is like mine. However, I need to see a photo of the back side of a working unit, however.
I want to see if the 6 solder disconnects at the front edge of the board are normal in a good working unit.
I've included an image of what my broken unit looks like on the back front, but I must stress to the readership that I do NOT know if this is normal condition or not. THAT IS WHY I WANT TO SEE A PHOTO OF A GOOD WORKING UNIT, to verify if this is actually a problem or just weird design/manufacturing.
