Default Water pump questions
I just finished changing my oil and noticed that there was a good sized dried spot of coolent on the cover and the bottom of the waterpump. Is this a normal thing for 97's. Most waterpumps that I have seen that start to leak are on the way out. Is this the case with My car?

Default must....resist....temptation....
Water pump falure is common with the older age cars. Get that and the timing belt looked at asap.

How many miles are on the car? Recommended change around here seems to be 60k.

Default I had mine looked at and it's fine... i'm at 60,000 now. Changing it at 75,000.
I guess it depends on how much you drive...

Default Sounds like what was happening with my water pump.....
....ended up replacing it at 66,000 miles while my mechanic was replacing my timing belt.
