Default To wax or not to wax, that is the question...

Okay, I last waxed my Avant on November 15, and since then have driven through (and subsequently washed off) a lot of nasty road salt.
It's a beautiful weekend here in the Carolinas -- perfect for waxing the wagen. A buddy of mine told me to wax my new car once every three months with a non-cleaner wax; would waiting only two months be overkill?
TIA.
J.Russ
p. blue 98.5 Avant qMS

Default I vote for a new light coat of wax.

When your car is exposed to all that salt and grit on the road I wax the surfaces that take the abuse. (Front, sides and rear get most of the salt and grit). When I drive in lots of this stuff I wax every month. Just be very sure you wash your car very well and remove all the road salt and especially the grit.
Roy M

Default wax

The only problem with overwaxing is you may get a haze from buildup. If this happens you can use a cleaner to remove the build up and re-apply a new coat when your done. After just one application should be no problem. FYI blitz wax does a great job and is least expensive while giving best shine.Hope this helps - enjoy the sun.
