Default We now officially have another SC'd Audi on the board!

Completed the work with the help of a friend(mk2vdubber), at about 5pm. Have been out running around since. I have to say, I'm quite dissapointed. I am only pushing about 1lb. of boost and at around 5-5500 rpm, it jumps to about 3lbs. I have checked and re-checked everything, and still....no freaking clue what the problem is. I will say the spooling/whining sound is quite impressive, but in this case, the bark is waaaay bigger than the bite. Kind of like a Honda.

I do have a solid CEL, but won't be able to pull the codes until hopefully Monday morning, I hope that will yield some results. But at least it's up and running. Idle is dead nuts smooth, so I don't think it's vacuum line related. The bypass actuator appears to be working correctly. I can't figure out why I'm not making any boost, and it's driving me crazy. There's only so many places it can go with a G2 system. I am officially stumped. But at least it runs. I guess.

Default Not 100% sure, but yes.....I think so.

Using this diagram, I am positive the vac+boost (red) is hooked up correctly. The variable vacuum lines (green) are also definitly right. The others......well......?????

I found this diagram over at SC Audi, I hope they don't mind me posting it here.

Default I helped my brother-in-law install his G2 and I remember we had to purchase a "T" fitting also I tho

ught the directions said if you get a cel upon startup don't drive the vehicle?? We lucked out we did not get a cel and his pulls nicely. Hopefully you'll get yours ironed out. They are pretty helpful over on SCAudi

Default There are two styles of the manifold, old and new.

I have the old, no "T" fitting necessary, as it has a barb to tap into. Also, I believe that what the instructions said regarding the CEL is, "turn the key to the "on" position, If no CEL appears, do not drive the car". I think that is just a basic check to make sure that the chip was installed correctly on the ECU. I hope that I read that correctly.
