weird idling when I first start up the car.
When I leave to work, there is a red light about 2 minutes from my apartment. Everytime I hit that light (after the car is started for the first time), my rpms rocks between 950-850.
The car doesn't stall or anything, but it just feels a bit odd. I can blip the gas a little bit (to about 2 grand) and the fluctation goes away. I've also noticed that the vaccum level goes up a notch or two on my boost gauge.
What would cause the car to do this only one time every morning?

Its the pollution controls doing their thing....if you listen closely you should be...
able to hear the "smog" pump come on when you pull to a stop. I have to come to a complete stop about .5 mile from my house in the morning, it does the same thing everytime. I imagine the flucutation in idle is from the load increase on the engine when the electric pumps comes on.....similar to what happens when you roll your windows up or down at idle.
