Default Well appearantly my small coolant leak is no longer a small coolant leak =-(

Just went out to my car, started it, fine. !!!!!!!!!!BEEEP!!!!!!!!! Freakin coolant alarm, checked it out, nothing, tank is completly empty. I know its been leaking for a little bit now, just don't have a garage to check it out. Minor leak, had to add a little coolant once every couple weeks. Now its just empty..

Same as this guy too, same spot, I think its the same issue. Damn it! Its raining and cold like a ****..

same issue on someones elses car

Can I run it with water? At least to get some more coolant and find a garage?

Yes. Its is fine to run 100% water for short periods. Hope it isn't leaking too quick.

Default still under warranty? swing by Don Rosen before 6 and have them fill it for free.

or, if after 6, call ahead and ask them to leave some for you. I've done that before and the sales manager filled it for me.

Default Lower rad hose? Or is it the sensor itself? I have seen the fan switches loosen...

and leak from there too. Ju stbe glad that it's not coming from the pump.

FWIW, the G12 is cheaper at VW dealers, I get it for $15/gal... you may even find it cheaper.

if you do end up filling it with water, make sure to do a good flush before you put in your new 50/50 g12/water mix.

yes, water, but not different type coolant, don't let it freeze, & only to get you to the shop

Default Wow. That's unusual. Same stuff. Run it with water till you can get some g12 in there..

no sense in running lots of G12 through, till you get your leak fixed.
