Went to the track and was able to run a 12.605 at 112 mph

my results...
my best run:
60 ft ====== 2.044
1/8th ET === 9.784
1/8th mph == 69.987
1/4 ET ===== 15.452
1/4 mph === 86.172
my best trap:
60 ft ====== 2.105
1/8th ET === 9.842
1/8th mph == 70.275
1/4 ET ===== 15.490
1/4 mph === 86.975
i still think i could've hit 15.3s on the one with my good launch, i shifted out of 3rd a lil too early.
ah well, im happy, beat my time from last week by .6seconds.
by the end of this month im planning on running at SAC with mike after i get my milltek/test pipe installed and new chip. goals are under 2.0 60' times and under 14.5s

Tuning at this point. I have the 2.8 trans in the car already
Car is much faster now then when I ran at the 1.8t challenge. Problem is that I am running at LACR which is much slower then Fontana because of its elevation. The stage 3 S4's that run up here run high 12's, I ran against a few stock evo's which were running low to mid 14's and a few that had bolt on mods that were running high 13's. A big issue for me last night was traction, as the night went on the temps dropped and the traction at the line went away. I can also say that my car was not liking the 112 octane fuel, just couldn't find the right setup to make it run good. Car would misfire and the ecu was still trying to pull back timing. Had the timing up to nearly 40 degs, no ping but yet block 020 would read 12 degs max pull back and was still holding 30 degs. So as you can see tuning is really holding the car back at this time. On the 12.6 run I was only running 18psi off the line and 21psi in 3rd/4th gear.

gotcha...perhaps take it back down to unleaded gas and see if that help?
I think 110+ octane starts putting a strain on the electrical/ignition system. Not to mention that amount of timing on a low compression engine.

Last week I ran 104 octane unleaded and didn't have any issues
ran 12.7 at 114.9 mph.
BTW we have a new site up and running for the hard core 1.8/2.0 people. Anyone that is really into pushing our cars to the limit is welcome to join.

new site
