wet braking "wheel flare" dealer response
I've been reading the board for some time now, and on the verge of the delivery of my 2001.5 wagon (only 3 months start to finish!), I decided to see what my dealer's response would be about the wheel flare part (based on the sporadic response some of you have received) - here is what Rector Motors (Burlingame, CA) had to say:
I researched this through our Parts and Service Departments and
this is the result:
Parts shows it as a valid number - but all that comes up is that it is a
repair kit of some sort that comes from a technical bulletin.
Service agrees, but says for more info, I need to provide the bulletin
number.
Do you perhaps know what bulletin in refers to?
I hadn't realized that there was a bulletin posted (at least I haven't seen it posted here). Any ideas?

Please Post Follow-Up
Or email me. I ordered an A4 from Rector myself just a month ago, so I'm very interested in their response. (Keeping my fingers crossed for a three-month delivery, too!)

Re: Please Post Follow-Up
I should be pickin' the car up sometime next week (it hit San Diego on 4/2/01). David@Rector has been straight up during the entire process. I will follow up when I see him to pick up the car.
