wet carpeting in back - no mention of evap drains clogging when I searched?
I'm doing a little research for a friend of mine who has an '01 A4. The A/C evap drains clog all the time on the A8's so that's the first thing I thought of but....
In doing a search, the sunroof drains were mentioned a bunch of times so I'll have him check those. Doesn't seem like the A/C evap lines are as much of an issue.
Where are they located? I'll have him check both and under the battery too (and sunroof drains).
thanks,
Bob

thanks guys... I had him pour water into the sunroof drains and they all worked. Also verified that
the A/C is draining correctly. He's checking the battery drain now.

All 4? The ones in the back are difficult to pour water into. I blow them out from below
Bentley sez:
For cleaning, it is recommended that you create your own assisting tool out of a speedometer inner cable, approx. 2300 mm (90.5 in.) long.
Rear water drain hoses are routed in the C-pillars and exit behind the bumper cover at the side. They can be cleaned from the lower end of the hose. To do so, rear bumper cover must be removed.

When checking, I found it helped to actually drop the head liner and look at the drain hose...
They used 2 different materials for the drain hose, and the glue that connects them together didn't work so well. I decided to drop the headliner only after the dealer had tried 3 time each time telling me there were no leaks, yet I continued to get waterspotting on my C pillar covers.
