What did you use Goof off or Goo gone for debadging? Or does it not matter?

Default I am still badged...but I would think....

start with goo gone. goof off is much more powerful and might take some paint with it.

Default I used WD-40...might try goo gone...

as the WD-40 was slow going. I was probably a bit too abrasive and should have taken more time.

Be gentle, go slow. Heat it up well with the hairdryer and try to get most adhesive off with the first swipe of your dental floss.

Plan of 30-45 minutes, total job.

When done, wash down the area and apply wax.

Default Use dental floss and a hair dryer to remove the badges

and WD 40 or goo gone to get the remaining adhesive off (with quite a bit of rubbing).

Well woth the effort!

Peter

Don't use GOOF OFF, Goo Gone the citrus one is what you want.

Default Damn... mine took me about 10 minutes total...

I got dental floss. That broke so I went and got some fishing line.

Fishing line worked perfect after I heated it with a ceramic heater (a good bit hotter and less air flow than a hair dryer)...

I then used some generic "tar and bug remover" and the adhesive litterly peeled off after I saturated it with the remover solution.

YMMV, especially since mine was a 2001, the badges probably weren't baked on as badly...

Default Great, I'll keep that in mind for Avant #3..

I took the easy way out for #2 and asked a friend at the bodyshop to use the rubber wheel they have to do this. They work incredibly fast and leave no mars or scuffs. All it cost me was a thank you too!

Thanks for the tip,

Peter
