The Mazda 2.0 is a NA engine, it is not that old 1.8...so to save costs and keep it cheap, Mazda went with a low compression turbo on a NA bottom end. So while it should be fine with stock boost, the most id think id do to one is a chip/exhaust/IC...you don't want a big turbo on that engine (but like i said, it does not need one).
I wish they would have just brought the turbo 1.8 from Australia here...but oh well.
PS the IC location blows chunks...be prepared to replace it

One of the tuners was saying that anything more then 200 HP to the wheels would cause some issues. So it is certainly not a car to start trying to make the fastest thing on 4 wheels, but a great quick, nimble car directly from the factory.
