I was just going to buy one from a speed shop..all intakes are the same anyways..
you just have to find the right kind and size. It would be cheaper going with a less known company. I figure, I really don't need a bigger intake. I just want something other than those useless replacible ones. I am actually contemplating on just getting an aftermarket intake that is the same size as stock. I can use the stock heatshield. It would definately be louder than stock but no as loud as the lltek one since it's smaller. I wouldn't get much performance gain from an intake anyways... might as well spend less.

Both of you are 12v owners...
The airbox sits right above the passenger side bumper grille. All it takes is a decent collector and some PVC. You can find plenty of great collectors in Home Depot in the plumbing dept and HVAC dept.If you want to get a first hand look at what I used for a collector, go into the plumbing dept. and look at the roof pipe flanges. I used the No-Caulk 3" 45 degree roof flange. Its black plastic.. It worked out well for me because of the larger "mouths" at the bumper grille due to the JD conversion I did a while back but in the HVAC dept, there are plenty of decent collectors that would work great on the A4 bumper. From there youll have to relocate one horn(the bottom one) and depending on the outlet location and size of the collector you may have to alter the lock carrier. But from there, what I did was shoot it right up into the bottom of the factory air filter box to reduce temps... Works great and didnt have to fidget with a cone filter and the MAF sensors..
The thing is, I dont own a digi-cam. Next weekend theres a CDAG get-together and Im sure someone will take some pics. Ill be sure to post them up because theres a couple guys that would like to see the beautiful collector,
