What'll look better, smoked or clear side markers on a Pearl white A4?

Wonder if you could smoke them pearl white.
because the white ones are too white for a pearl car IMO, and the smoked ones stick out.

clear looks very clean on my car...
blends into the fender better... i think the smoke would stick out a lil too much.
