Basically sitting at idle either in gear or not, when I hit the gas hard the car makes a sound like someone is hitting the engine with a wrench pretty hard. Never heard this one before. It idles fine, it drives fine, it makes no noise at all at any rpm. The noise comes only when I gun it, and only at the instant that I push down on the throttle. Engine mounts?

Any ideas? Anyone had this before?

check your engine mounts a bolt may be loose or missing

you are welcome my car made a loud metal tapping sound..more of a clunk it was engine mount
