when u guys reverse, does it sound like a grinding noise?

Default when u guys reverse, does it sound like a grinding noise?

when ur backing out of ur driveway or something, is there a grinding noise that suddenly happens?

Default Are you idling with the clutch out, then throwing it in reverse? If so, then

the intermediate shaft is still turning and will cause the noise you describe. Otherwise, I gots no idea.

Yeah, it does. I don't know what it is, but so far it hasn't given me any problems besides annoying me.

Default in my experience, when it grinds, but is still backing out, the car is usually not completely...

in gear. all i do is take it out of reverse and then throw it right back in. in your case maybe a synchro is going bad?

Default yup. I'm pretty sure it's normal - self adjusting tension in the parking brake.

It did it on my 99.5 (since totalled) and is identical in my 01.
