Where to buy catalytic converter gaskets?
Hey guys, do any of you know a place i can buy the catalytic converter gaskets for a 1999.5 Audi a4 1.8t non q? I found the outlet gasket online for only $3.00 (Dealership is asking $30 per gasket), but its almost impossible to find the inlet one, which goes between the turbo and the cat. Please help me....
Thanks.
Thanks.

Keeper of the Cash
Dealer, but not that dealer. That's crazy **** what they are charging
Get in touch with Carson@RiversideAudi. They don't cost more than $6-7 each. Also get new nut and bolts if you don't already have them.

Thanks guys!! Checked puremotorsport...
Are the prices reasonable on that? Also Nate, riverside is a little out of the way for me, do you think they can mail it? I called Santa Monica Audi and thats what they quoted me, like $30 each or $30 for two, i don't quite remember and i don't want to call them again because their customer service at the parts department is pretty bad.

Yes they have an online store and they ship parts out. Or you can get a hold of Carson as Nate said.

Ah Riverside Audi New York? I thought it was Riverside Audi in California.
I am checking the price on it right now. Check this out: I called a bunch of places to see who is the cheapest to install the cat, which i have. A few places quoted me $340 just for an install!! I mean my audi specialist tuner himself charges $120, still a little on the high end, but i found a place that will do it for $70. good deal?

New Jersey , Is it the stock Cat? . .
And does the shop know what they are doing, have they done it before. The stock cat is huge IMO and not your basic unbolt and remove. When I got mine done, it took then 2.5 hours and I ended up coming to the shop and removing the stock airbox and everything in that area and pulled it out myself. They did not charge me for the 2.5 hrs of labor but I was getting a full exhaust.

The audipartsdepot, does not seem to have the gaskets i need...
I calculated two gaskets including shipping to come out to $25 isn't that a bit much? I mean i am not cheap, but i find thats alot for that. I guess if i have no choice, i have to do what i have to do. haha

yes its the stock cat
It took 2.5 hrs just to remove the cat? I had a downpipe, which i removed so i can smog, then ended up selling it. Replaced it with my stock cat, which has a leak but managed to pass smog, now my car sounds like a VW Beetle, and just recently got an OEM cat from a salvaged car with only like 20 thousand miles on it which is what i am looking to install.
