Default You dont need one to remove the maf housing out of the air box

thats all you need to remove and just leave the maf sensor in side the stock housing. YOu just need to take all of that and just stuff it between the pipe you bought and the stock hose you have that pipe on right now. Just make sure you put the maf so that the screen is facing the new pipe or filter and the arrow on the maf housing is facing toward the turbo/intake manifold or the direction the air is moving toward the motor.

Lowes sells a set of tamperproof bits (Bosch I think) for $9.

Default well... for a custom turbo set up, like this, you might need to allow a higher airflow.

the stock MAF housing could limit the airflow.

I know that the pictured turbo set up doesn't have a MAF but if you where to build a similar set up with a MAF you'd need a larger diameter MAF housing

stock maf sensor inside a 3.5" housing?

Default yes, I'm aware of that...

and I do not in any way argue with your point.

all I said was that a stock MAF housing could restrict airflow when using a monster size turbo

Default ok, yes that is true. But not many people here are going to use a moster turbo.

When you do the car is not all that great of a daily driver.
