Default just be glad you're not in my situation...

I've spent the last 48 hours trying to get our company's database restored, which was corrupted (by me) on thursday night. If I can't accomplish this, I may be toast. I've talked to more stupid hosting personnel then I ever want to again, not to mention they want to charge me for 12 hours of work (@250/hr), even though they haven't done a goddamn thing. I will be paying this out of my own pocket, so I can kiss a lot of mods goodbye. I just looked in the mirror and I have a large blood vessel that is covering most of the white in my right eye. Can you say stress? I've really never dealt with a situation like this (I'm only 19), where so much depends on the fall of the cards (host says restore "may not be possible")

F...

Default That just sounds wrong.

I have been in plenty of situations where I screwed something up. As long as it was unintentioal I do not see how your company can get off charging you for this. I mean I would just quit and tell them to have fun if the expect any out of pocket expenses from you.

When I was young I had plenty of companies try to pull stuff like that on me just because I was young. Tell them to F*** off. :-)

Just a thought.

Default I may be getting a permanent vacation if I can't make this happen... although that is more a threat

from myself than my employer. I really wouldn't lose my job over this, I'm just telling myself I would because in a more standard employment situation, that might be the case.

I actually am not really an employee, I'm a part owner, so that's why the burden of covering this cost may be on me. It's a lot more complicated than that, but I'd really rather not get into it.
