Default Why is this happening? Leaking Roof?

Notice the water stains on the rear passenger pillar. Could this be a leaky roof? Is it something I should be concerned with?

Default Sunroof gasket rotted out??

Could be that the gasket around your sunroof is rotted out which would cause this. If it's not too far gone you MIGHT be able to "fix" it with some Silicone Spray. I would HIGHLY recommend against DW40 as that stuff just gets gunky after a while...

Default your water drain lines are clogged

Try cleaning those out. There are quite a few posts about this in the archives

https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/1655909.phtml</a

Default Probably a cracked drip tray under the sunroof.

Your car is too new to have clogged drain lines.

Here's how this works. The sunroof is not water tight. Instead, the sunroof opening has a drip tray underneath it that collects water. On the four corners of the tray are drain lines that run down under the car. If you parked on an incline, and one line was clogged, the other line would most likely allow the tray to drain. You would have to be parked on steep angle, where the car is tilted back and to the right in order to pool up the water near the clogged drain line like this. On a 2001, I really doubt it's clogged anyway.

My guess is that drip tray is cracked (it has happened), and water is seeping onto the headliner and down the A/C pillars. Gotta drop the headliner and take a look.
