why is my pass. side mirror smaller than my drivers side mirror? n00b??

I thought it was just that small cause the passenger really doesn't even need a mirror?

Default IIRC - It's was a european standard that they had to be smaller so as not to clip.....
...pedestrians walking on the side of small/narrow european streets.

all cars i grew up with had the same sized mirrors.
