Wierd sound at start up.

Wierd sound at start up.
Routine...Start car, put in nuetral to warm up, fiddle with radio and such, then engage clutch to put car in reverse, during this there is a loose grinding sound from the rear end. My guess the clutch or rear dif.. Not loud, really. W/ radio on medium might not even hear it. As I reverse, I still hear it. Going forward never noticed it. No problems w/ gears or clutch. Everything works fine. Have you ever heard this sound?

Try putting the car in first (w/clutch in) before you put it in reverse.
