Will upgrading the snub mount on an A4 w/Tip tranny improve anything?
I will be having timing belt done soon and I figured that since the front end will be apart, I might as well replace the snub mount.
The archives suggest that the 2001 mount is a redesign from older versions that improves driveability somewhat. The APR one is an option too.
TIA

I just did the snub mount on my Tip Tranny 1.8.....
i can definately say it doesnt feel any different... but when you are shifting it seems to feel a little bit smoother especially when the tranny is kicking down when you are coming to a stop.

it's like this....
since there is hardly any rocking with the tip you wont notice that much of a difference... when the tranny shifts down it is much smoother than with the stock snub.
So you wont notice any difference except on the downshifts.
