Window problem on 98 A4

Window problem on 98 A4
Has anyone out there tried to remove the door panel on an A4 98 ? One of my rear windows, I believe, has come off it's track. I don't think that it is because of the motor, because, when I hit the window switch, I still hear the motor going.
It sounds ridiculous to question how to take a door panel off but because of the A4's tight construction, I don't want to start something that has risks of asthetic damage.
I also do not want to take it to a shop and have them charge me $ 100+ just to put a perfectly good window back onto it's track.
