Default Winter Tire pick Dunlop winter sport SP 3D

Hit or Skip? I have read a ton of reviews on them that say the are one of the best (I am in CT) for the kind of weather we get in my area. I normally run all season for budget reasons but am splurging on a wheel/tire combo for this winter.

Thoughts on these?

Here is a link to a good video about them.

http://www.mefeedia.com/entry/2603460/</a

For a more performance oriented winter tyre they are excellent.

Default I live in NY. I love them.

I had the M3's before the 3D's. Excellent tire as well.

Seem to have more dry performance than the Blizzaks.

Default = a very well-rounded winter sport radial for cold climates with light to moderate amounts of snow.

Traction in ice and snow stays consistant and predicable in varying temps and conditions, IMO.

Default Great winter tire for Chicago

Really good in wet or dry conditions, and great grip in the snow. Probably not quite as good as Blizzaks in really deep snow, but where I live the roads are well ploughed and the snow is intermittent, so the SP 3D's are a perfect balance. They also seem to wear better than Blizzaks which are bit softer compound.

Default I ran them, only problem is how hard it was to do donuts in the snow....

I ran them for two winters, going up to the passes and mountains. They are awesome!!! I have some toyos now that i got for a really good deal, but not worth it.
