Default Worth upgrading to S4 engine & tranny?
I am contemplating buying a used 2.7T engine, tranny, gearbox, and rear diff from a local seller for around 3K, then sell off my 1.8T engine, tranny, and S3+ kit.

I would put at least all Stage 3 hardware on the S4 engine before mounting it in the car.

Default talk to RAD69. it's a huge project. don't forget about the wiring harness. it's not just bolt-ons
For the current prices of a B5 S4, it would be easier/cheap to jsut buy one.
