It was tested on a Passat 1.8T, and its owner posted some information about it here a few weeks ago. Someone made a comment about the fact that this "upgraded" Plasma Booster thingie makes a weaker initial spark but it has a much longer duration. The stock system makes a single spark only, but it is stronger.

What are the effects of a single stronger spark as opposed to a weaker multi spark discharge?

I would think a stronger initial spark would be more desireable for performance, to get a better "guarantee" of ignition. A Multispark with a weaker level would burn more efficiently/cleaner? I'm not sold, buy hi octane gas, keep stock coils...

the longer duration spark yields more pressure on the piston during the 3rd cycle (combustion)
