Default 1.8T HP differences
How come the Euro 1.8T only puts out ~150hp compared to the US spec ~170hp???
Also, is 1.8T still available in the US for the B7?

the 1.8T S-Line in the UK puts out 190HP. they have the 2nd SMIC too :-(

Default couple of answers
The Euro 1.8ts were available with 150PS, 163PS and 190PS. Our 170hp version is closest to the 163PS version. I heard two stories as to what the differnce is between the 163 and 170 engine. One source told me that the turbos are slightly different, the other said it just has to do with emissions. The 1.8t is not available for the B7 in the US, but still an option in Europe.

Yeah I noticed and we can´t get the 2.0T either!

Yup - don't forget, basic unleaded in UK is 95RON, 97 for premium.

we get 3 grades in Iceland -- 95, 98 and 99+
