If you're looking for blend, Dolphin is the obvious choice...Personally, I liked the silver/lower...
contrast. My second choice was Denim Blue.
At the the end of the day, Gandalf_The_Denim_Blue just didn't do it for me, so it became a no-brainer.
(I'd also mention the fact that I'm a lazy bum and love how silver always looks clean, but this an enthusiast's forum so I'll keep it to myself.)

Dophin blends, the lighter colors (like Silver) provide contrast, but...
...the dark colors (Ebony, Goodwood, and Ming) then to clash. Look at it from about 30 feet away, in daylight, and make the choice. Silver's main drawback is it's rather ubiquitous. Then again it's common because so many people think it looks great and epitomizes German cars.
If the voice in your soul is saying "I really want silver", listen.

Silver and ebony are the only colors I wouldn't even consider painting the lowers on (more)
I love the contrast between silver and the charcoal lowers. Makes the car look a little retro-TTish. And the charcoal lowers blend great with ebony pearl. You really don't even notice them. JMHO.
