1.8t Stage 1+ MPG ?? Please post your Best mpg / worst mpg, best mpt / worst mpt
mpt = miles per tank.
I think there's something wrong with my car. Ever since i have bought it, it seems like it's not getting optimal mpg.
Non stage 1+ mpg = 23mpg all day hwy.
stage 1+ mpg = 22 all day hwy
mpg calculated per tank, not by the computer!
About 370 miles per tank on stage 1+.
What are you guy getting?

20mpg 70% freeway 30% city tiptronic
don't run your car down so low, if you are putting in 16.8 gallons on a 17.4 gallon tank you should really take more care to keep her filled up. I like to leave 2-3 gallons always so it doesn't pick up junk through the fuel pump and send it into the poor fuel filter.

15mpg about 200-220mpt 95% city, short trips, cold engine. tip
My poor MPG is due to where I live and conditions in which I drive. Id probably get 20 in a civic in the same situations.
I cant go 100yds without a red light, stop sign or slow traffic. Most trips are 5-10 miles and often less, so the car is not at optimal temp most times. Cold engines burn more fuel.

That is slow. I'd say you are correct in that you should be getting better mileage.
It could be many things:
1) Type of oil you are using.
2) Winter fuel blend. Are you in a cold weather state? Winter blends change to improve emissions.
3) Winter temps. Your car will use more gas to warm up the engine in the winter (this is true for stock as well as stage 1+).
4) Tire pressure. COld weather will drop pressures automatically. Top up the air if you are low.
5) Are you a 5 spd. or 6 spd.? The 6 sp.d guys probably get at least 1 mpg better at cruising speed than the 5ers.

1) recently purchased the car, thus it's running castrol syntec 10w40.
I will be changing the oil soon to pentosin 10w40.
2) Yes i am in the winter blend mode, thus, i won't know until summer hits until i will know if i have better mpg.
3) yep, seattle has winter temps, thus it's pretty cold.
4) tire pressure is alright.
5) 5 speed atm
One thing to note is, i am at 114k miles, thus it is a high mileage.
I will be doing a full seafoam treatment, and check my o2 sensors with a multimeter to see if the readings are correct.
I will post notes to see if there is an increase in mpg.
