Default 2.9 or 3.9% Financing thru Audi Financial Services?

I financed my 2003 A4 1.8TQ last Decmember thru Audi Financial Services. My loan rate was 3.9% for 60 months. Since then I've seen references on this forum about 2.9% financing. Did I get screwed by the dealer? Over 60 months that's more than $800 difference in price. They never told me they were getting 1%. If the deal was really supposed to be 2.9% I'm going back to complain.

I got 2.9% for 60 months. Most of the time though, your credit score determines what rate you get.

Default Credit score determines your rate and they can change finance rate specials month to month.

Yours is a hell of a lot lower than mine.

Default That may be it...

I told the finance guy what my pre-approved credit union rate was and he said that put me in the 2nd preferred category, although before he even knew that he said the rate was 3.9%, so maybe it was 3.9% in December.

Default Whenever I asked; I was told 3.9% ....(cont')

and that was supposedly it. Their best offer. And this was w/o a credit check. ( I was told some stories of customers wanting better APR's because other manufacturers were offering 0 Down, 0 APR,...etc. And they were told; well go buy that American car then). No deal. They made it out like that was very good and might even change soon (go up).
I never heard the 2.9% mentioned, so I am wondering why it was offered to some. I was also told that my credit score did not really matter to them. They mainly wanted to see some sort of history of payment. I also had VW Credit Financing to show. Hmmmmmmm, not fair.

I read about the 2.9% over 60 months, asked for it, and got it.
