Default 2002 A4 Quattro ALIGNMENT

I just had my tires replaced and found out that the older ones were cupping on the inside. Took the car to a local tire shop (Tires Plus) and was told that it had something to do with the sub-frame since they tend to shift and need adjustment. I was told I had to take it to the dealer. The Audi dealers were charging high prices on alignment so I called the local Volkswagen dealer to take it there. The tech told me my alignment was way out of wack (due to aggressive driving) and adjusted bolts (camber / Toe / caster) under the wheels but said that I need new STRUTS since he could not adjust them back to original specs. Most tire places tell me that Audi dealers have a special tool to align Audis (not sure if this is BS). The car has not been in any accident. I'm wondering if the Audi dealer would have done anything different and should I take it to them???
