(821)Greg: followup post on Koni/Eibach/OEM Sport bumpstop install
Greg, here's the info you asked for last week:
Non-sport suspension
Floor-to-fender/Wheel gap
Front: 27.0"/2.5"
Rear: 26.75"/2.25"
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/62870/nonsport_front.jpg">
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/62870/nonsport_rear.jpg">
Eibach Pro-Kit/OEM Sport bumpstops (front & rear)
Floor-to-fender/Wheel gap
Front: 25.25"/0.75"
Rear: 25.25"/0.75"
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/62870/0228_lowered_front.jpg">
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/62870/0228_lowered_rear.jpg">
The drop ends up being 1.75" front and 1.5" rear, which is a bit lower than advertised, but clearly the sport bumpstops contribute to the drop. I'd be interested in hearing what kind of drop the guys with Eibach got without sport bumpstops.
After a couple hundred more miles of butt time this weekend, I'm still pleased with the ride quality, although there is no hiding from sh*tty roads--and sh*tty roads abound in nearby Manhattan. On stretches of uneven undulating pavement where the right or left wheels move independently (sorry, lasagna noodles are the only analogy that come to mind), the car rolls from side to side a LOT more than before. I certainly wouldn't recommend driving down 31st St. holding fresh McDonald's coffee between your legs.
It's a good thing that the car steers more responsively as I could at least swerve around some of the nastier stuff. Most importantly, the new setup was awarded the Wifely Seal of Approval--even after driving over the really crappy stuff. Whew! It would have hurt like a **** if she'd hated it and I had to pay money to restore my old wheel gap.
A few more shots:

Thanks for the info.
With your side-to-side movement: what settings are your konis?
Also, I think Eibach with non-sport stops is 25.5" in rear.
Neuspeed springs drop another half inch.

Looks great! Here's my specs on a similar Eibach setup...
Eibach Pro-Kit / Neuspeed Modified Bilsteins / OE Non-Sport bumpstops
Front 25.5"
Rear 25.75"
Just ran out to the garage and re-measured (flat surface, better than the office G!). Looks like I'll drop about another 1/2" in the rear with the sport stops next week.
I'm very pleased with the Eibach springs. In hindsight, I might've gone with the Konis, but all in all, it's a nice ride.

Bumpstop drop, two weeks later.....m....
I measured one side of my car from driveway to fender, and the left rear, after two weeks with the OEM sport bumpstop (and Neuspeed sport springs), has settled to 24 1/2 inches. I *think* I was at either 24 3/4 or 25 even the night of the change (after only a 10 mile drive home after installation).
The gap is a touch smaller in the back than the front, being on the 2nd lowest groove on my Neuspeed Bilsteins, but only if you stand there and look closely. Otherwise, they look even.

No problemo.
I have the Konis set to the softest setting, seeing as how I didn't want to catch flak w/ the wifey. Do you Detroit guys ever experience the same kind of "jiggly" ride over rippled roads? Jeez, I sound like an idiot...I gotta go buy a suspension book or something so I can talk more intelligently, lol.

Thanks.
I read your post about the lift at the service center. I'm pretty sure we'll be OK since, as you point out, we have the added clearance of stock lowers. I figure if my Craftsman hydraulic floor jack easily slides under the car we shouldn't have a problem.
I'm looking forward to seeing your drop!
