A4 3.0 6-speed manual vs. BMW 330i 5-speed manual......
Why does Audi feel the need for the sixth gear and BMW not? Also, can anyone tell me what rpm you are getting at 70mph cruise in 6th gear on the 3.0 manual?

After driving it for a few days it's pretty sweet
Just replaced my wife's 98 2.8 with a brand new silver 3.0. At first blush I htought the 6 speed was a dumb marketing ploy. Now I'm realizing that it helps all the gears. Seems like the spread of gears always gives a great choice no matter what the road. So far I'm VERY impressed with this car. I may have to get one for myself!
