Good afternoon everyone! I recently purchased a 2005 A4 3.0 Ultrasport. I love the car but have one pretty significant complaint.

I bought the car with 15,500 miles and have put about 3,000 miles on it so far. Despite the fact that I take very good care of it, the front bumper already has a couple major spots of road rash. It is very unsightly. I had a 2002 A4 (1.8T) prior to this and did not have this problem.

My questions are these, (1) has anyone noticed similar problems and if so, (2) what can I do about it?

(1) it can happen to any car (2) repaint or touch-up

Can't really give you a good recommendation without seeing what kind of damage you are facing.

I will take a few pictures and post them. I am having two types of problems, (1) The small spot here and there that is probably from small rocks. (2) Larger spots where the paint has peeled back in a line maybe 1 cm long. This is what I am more concerned about.

After it is fixed, look at clearbra or zepel for it to avoid future problems.

chips happen, but the paint shouldn't be peeling.

I'm curious what color is your USP and what color was oyur 02 ?

My Ultrasport is silver, my '02 was silver also. Thanks for the help!

Yeah well Silver shouldn't show too bad anyway....just be glad you don't have a black car
