A4 Purchase On Ebay
Hey guys, by brother-in-law just wrecked his '02 1.8QM. He escaped with only a bruise on his arm, but the damage is estimated at $22,000 to his car. He is now starting to look for a replacement and is very interested in this A4 on ebay. Aside from the issues of buying the car on ebay (trustworthyness of seller, accurate condition, etc..) does this car look like a good purchase for around $18K-$22K? My Advice...
I would buy that car for 19,500 dollars or less...
It's got about 45000 miles, but it includes, as the seller says, a 6 year/100,000 mile warranty, and the audi warranty covers pretty much everything... its amazing.
All used a4s have the scratched wheels... their design makes them very easily scratchable.
Its a great car, but due to high miliage, the value has declined greatly (but you have the warranty!)

Looks pretty nice to me. Especially for a 3.0...but

And that chip on the windshield looks pretty noticable and will probably annoy the crap out of you.
Besides these factors seems like the vehicle itself to be a good deal...and yeah again, a 3.0 V6!

Extended Warranty is nothing like Manufacturer's Warranty. It does not cover near the amount that the Manufcaturer's warranty does. Make sure you ask a dealer what all it entails and make sure you are happy with what you hear. Just food for thought.
