A4 or S4?
So I've decided to get an Audi instead of a WRX. Now the choice is whether to buy a new 1.8 Avant or used (17k) S4 Avant with two years left on the warranty. The 3.0 is out because I live in the mountains and want the turbo. I like the 1.8 a lot. It's light and quick in the corners, and I like the new body style (a bit more space and headroom). At higher speeds it seems as if there's some four cylinder buzz throught the wheel and pedals.
The 2.7 is so smooth, and they don't make 'em (the 2.7t S4) any more. It is heavier and feels it, but that engine is sweet. The used S4 will cost a bit more. What would you do? Is there any appreciable difference in the reliability or maintenance issues between the two? Any other comments would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bill

I agree the performance of the S4 is great, but then you are stuck with the old bosy style, which isn't really "old" now, but it's already a model year behind, and it might start to annoy you that you have the old body style. But, if you don't care about the style, I'd get the S4.
