Grrr....I've searched and can't get a definitive answer to this. I have an '05 Passat 1.8T 4Motion 5-Speed and I want to get a 5 speed shift **** out of the Audi Collection....

I'm trying to get confirmation whether the A4 **** (this one in particular) is a clip on/banded **** or if it threads on. My Passat is clipped on with a one-time use band.

No it's not- It's held on by a metal band. There are no threads.

Well, in general terms, I wondered if the A4 **** was screw on or banded on.

Secondly, yes I'm curious what the one I linked to in the collection was.....

The Audi B5 A4 and B6 A4 utilizes a clip on ****.

I knew the B6 and B5 used the clip but found info that talked about a collection **** being being a scew-on type...which come to think of it dosen't make much sense...
