ABT body kit

ABT body kit
Hi, I'm new to the forum. I just got my 02 A4 1.8TQ last month. This question is for the people with the ABT body kit. Was the kit a perfect fit or was there some trimming involved to make it fit? Also what did it cost to paint and install? I know it differs in areas but I just wanted an idea. Thanks.

You rang?
The kit did need some work. Not hard for a good body shop, but not a DIY project. Plan on around 1000-1500 for paint and install. Some braces behind the front bumper need to be cut away and painted black. Then there is the new hardware involved with the rear wuro bumper. And the front bumper may need slight shaving to get it absolutely perfect. Most kits are not direct bolt on needing no finessing. People may say they are, but I assume you want a factory fit and finish. So get a really good body shop, show them the kit before you get a quote and leave the car making sure they fit the test fit the kit before painting incase there is any reshaping.
The ABT kit is very high quality and uses the same materials as Audi. No fiberglass. Check my pic poster and my website for pics.

My Website
