Anyone else having loud exhaust resonation in cold weather followed by
VERY rough idle? I get this every morning. It never happened until I got my car back after the coil replacement..

Same with my 3.0 and sluggish power also....
Cats look OK. I believe that there are still coils ready to die and we have weak spark with incomplete combustion. This will increase exhaust noise and give the sluggishness. I just had another coil die, used my spare without any change in exhause noise or sluggishness. I now get all 6 coils changed because 2 died so that will tell the story. Only one thing wrong....my dealer doesn't have any 3.0 coils at all....so much for recall coming sortly!

3/02......starting to get very disgusted....getting 5th/6th trans whine....worse car I ever owned!
9K miles and it feel worse than my other cars that had over 100K and 6 years of hard knocks!
2nd coil went in less than 1 month, dealer had none for 3.0 and won't know when he will get any! I'm glad I have spares. Now the gears whine, the car rides horrible(non-sport) with all the bad roads this winter in PA. My father's Subaru Outback overshadows the the A4 right now!
Going this weekend to look at the Lexus GS300 again......
I loved cars all my life, couldn't get enough driving in all the time.....this A4 has turned me off so much that I really don't care to drive at all anymore, it really is a very horrible POS! Trust me it's that baaaaaaaaaaad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I personally think that the VAG group makes junk anymore. Lot's of bells and whistles, but no quality. I sure wish I had my '97 A4 back, my flawless '97.

Nope... I am really very happy with my 2002A4 3.0Q
Are your cars made in USA. I live in South Africa and mine gets made in Germany.
Never had one single problem, rattle, anything. Except tyres are now a bit damaged after quite a few laps on race track.
Brilliant car but our suspensions are really set too high here which I plan to correct in the very near future.
Bob please measure the distance from centre of your wheel to bottom of wheel arch on your standard? A4 3.0. Would love to know what is the ride hieght in USA
