Default arm rest install

Hi
I've just picked up my new A4 S-Line, and no not the S4! I wanted the arm rest so got my dealership to order up the parts for me (they wanted 200GBP to fit it) before i start taking things apart, can anyone give me tips or pics where bits should go.

Thanks

Default Arm rests aren't standard in Europe? Heh... (more)

Europe is funny like that...the cars we see as "upscale" here in the States are so stripped in Europe.

My friend in Romania has a 2002 BMW 320d...it has cloth seats, an in-dash cassette player (no CD) and get this...the front windows are power but the rear are manual!

Default cars are super expensive in Europe, cutting corners helps.

that's why they give them so many individual options too. before i got my car, i configured an a4 in the audi uk site and was amazed with the options. of course the car was almost twice as much.

Default I'm assuming you have a Right Hand drive.....

Are you sure your center console will accept a new armrest? You may need to order a new part that where the armrest attaches. I will find a diagram for you and post it.

Default Re: I'm assuming you have a Right Hand drive.....

Thanks for that, yes the car is rht, i've had a look and all the bolts etc are there just not a hole for the arm rest to attach into? The guy at the stealership knew the car as I was buying it all at the same time.

It does amaze me the differents in cars between the us and europe, overhere vitually everything is an option, though we do now get a cd player! though I suppose we're lucky as the cars seem to come out here sooner, do you have the s-line in the states yet ?
