in the US that the A6 2.7t production total from the first year is 60k. Out of that I would venture it's 1 out of every 1000 was a 6 speed.

will production be continued much longer.
in a year my parents want a 6-speed black w/ beige interior A6 2.7T

and yes, most are tips. Not every customer is a driving enthusiast. Most that get the A6 are family "chauffeurs"....
Even the vaunted RS6 is tip only.

Not many guys want to seem wimpy after having a "girl" whip a stick around in a test drive;-) Ego and testosterone - gotta love it !

So you actually take the people out for testdrives?
here we just take the cars out without salespeople
any more details? so you take dads etc out for drives in stick and encourage them to get that instead of tip?
my mom is another woman who loves a stick shift car, if she could she would have mine, she borrows it all the time.

Not only do you have the possible theft concern, but also liability of damage to the car, passengers, and other drivers/pedestrians.
I would sometimes make judgement calls if dealing with people repeatedly. Folks who already demonstrated good judgement and seemed stable.
A good walk-around and test drive takes about an hour including touching on purchase options, etc. We had some great sweepers and some round-a-bouts. Most folks don't push a car very hard if unused to it ( a good thing ), so someone familiar with the car ( me ), could show them the potential. Of course that meant short shifting, and new tires that were kind of slippery, so speeds were low. But then, going sideways is always dramatic;-)
The Saab dealer staff down the street would clap when we did 4 wheel drifts in the round-a-bout in front of their dealership. The BMW dealer also had such a set-up, but their manager got upset when we did that in front of the "Ultimate Driving Machine";-)
The most fun were the kids. Once tightly buckled in place, they would be squealing and giggling in delight, asking for more.
