My 2.4 Audi A4 B6 cabriolet decided to not start. The car fires up then cuts out after about 2 seconds, most of the dash is dead & no warning light shows that the car has been mobilised. The battery is about a year old and has been fully charged.
A mobile mechanic scanned the car for faults, cleared the stored codes and then done a re-scan, the results are below. Any help with this issue would be appreciated..

01317 - Control Module in Instrument Cluster (J285) seems to be showing up a lot in the scan and with the dash being mostly dead I am guessing the dash assembly may be at fault ? If anyone can share their experience & help to steer me in the right direction I would be great full.

I seemed to have posted this issue twice & I am not sure how too delete the 2nd post , any help with that would also appreciated.
