New A3 based on Golf V. Slightly longer and wider, but lighter.
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/3127/newa32.jpg"></center><p>Independent rear suspension at last. AWD VR6 engine for S models ( 270hp ) and turbo VR6 ( 350hp ? ). DSG of course. Pretty much the powertrain you see in the R32, but uprated a little.
The 4 door Golf goes away from the North American market with the new platform introduction.
The new A6 promises to be much more dynamic, as it is the first car with ground up input from the engineers poached from BMW.

Yes, but rumor also has it...They're bringing the 2.0T (220hp)over, not the 190hp and bringing...
bringing back the Audi 5cyl.(25 valve) and getting rid of the 3.0. But I guess that's not till 2004-5...Anything can happen till then.And the 190hp maybe be offered till then??? Who knows, rumor...
