That's strange, I would think audi would have quattro when racing. What's up with that? I'm not trying to comparing their production cars to their race cars, but why do they have RWD race cars, yet make FWD production cars?

fwd cars on the lot wont compete with quattro sales
fwd is gas saving and safe, rwd is sporty, quattro is safe and kinda sporty. if rwd was offered, that would take $ away from quattro sales

most definitely...
that and the fact that Audi is know for its AWD, so I think them trying to jump in and seriously compete with other fwd/rwd production cars would be difficult and risky because they may not be able to make a foothold in that class of cars.
