Automatic headlight problem...

It seems the automatic setting for my headlights does a great job of turning them on, but not so good off. Even the brightest sunshine won't trigger "off" once they are on. Anyone have any experience with this?

how do you get them to turn on automatically?

is it a VAG-COM thing?

It definitely doesn't turn on/off immediately/erratically, but...

once it really detects bright light for a relatively long period of time, it should shut off. That's my experience with my auto light.

Of coures, I make the post, then drive the car and...

the problem disappears!Hopefully, that's the last of it.

Not sure if it occured as part of MY '04 or '05, but all A4's...

ultimately received the automatic headlight feature. By turning (and leaving) the **** in the "auto" position, the headlights are controlled by a light sensor. Nice feature, but for a day or so, mine stopped working properly.

All is well today, however!

FYI: My A4 is a late build 2005 B6 model.
