is it bad to start the car, and then shut it off 1 min. later, just to move the car?

Default is it bad to start the car, and then shut it off 1 min. later, just to move the car?

bc i do this alot, and i was wondering if this did alot of damage to the engine or anything.

If you did that on the 2.8 in the B5 series it very often caused a hard to start engine on the next startup. This doesn't seem to happen on my 3.0

I think I'm right in saying that the greatest wear on an engine takes place on starting so, in general, I try to minimize the kind of thing you are talking about.

Yes. Plugs do not get up to self-cleaning temps & exhaust gets water condensation inside.
