also when i was changing my timing belt..i was taking out the condenser and as smart as i was i took out one of th hoses and all this pressure and green stuff cam flyin out of the pipe..does this mean i now have to recharge the A/C.??? any help would be good

Yes you will need to recharge the system, make sure you use the same VW/Audi recharge kit!
